North marinian american tour feb 28-march 08

We are happy to invite our north american friends to come and see us when we'll be visiting your countries late february. And this time we are invited to mexico aswell, that feels special. Would be fun to see as many as possible at our shows, spread the word.

Hi,
we will probably close down this website soon as we are kind of tired of the look and the "third person" tone.
Anyway, 2007 is coming to an end and it would have been nice to say that Boylife tour is over and buried. But we already know that we are going to have to play it for some far away friends next year who yet hasn't got the chance.. BUT, in our minds we are in the next step. Or album. We really don't know how you guys like albums? Feel free to write us at lofifnk (at) gmail.com and tell how you have been listening to our music, just a few tracks in your ipod or maybe the whole album in its completeness.

The year has been the most packed for us ever with around 120 gigs so far. We are very thankful for all people who has come to see us and also people who talked and stalked to us. It feels kind of natural to round it up with some shows in our homecountry Sweden which we haven't been doing for a 1000 years.

Digitalism included a hard to get remix of "City" on their mixmag cover cd mix. Go and buy it if you can bare with the supercheesy name "rock the rave".

lo-fi-fnk in nylon magazine

International fashion / lifestyle mag Nylon took a dive into the cream of the swedish music scene and hooked up with Leo and August in New York. Check your local magazine dealer if you care.

Paris again

Lo-Fi-Fnk loves to go to Paris so Saturday 16th june they are taking a trip back for a live set at La Fleche D'Or. Tekilatex (from  TTC) is on the same bill. Will be a beautiful night.

blurry things on the horizon

The bad news first: the city-video wont happen. Because the band simply don't have the time.
Anyhow, it's an exciting time. The city single will be released soon and has already got acclaim from your favourite djs.
At the same time in stockholm, there is some true magic materializing in the Boylife studio which will probably be a new Lo-Fi-Fnk release.
Also there are two new lo-fi-fnk remixes coming up. Mika and Shout Out Louds gets the treatment.

Update: summer festivals & city video

The north american boylife tour went off over all expectations and the band wish to thank everyone who made it happen and helped out during the trip. And of course the bands who they played with: Datarock, Fujiyo&Miyagi, Junior Boys, The Presets, Numéro - big ups.

The lo-fi-fnk summer will mostly be about doing songs in the studio but there will be some festival gigs though. The official ones so far is Melt Festival in germany and Benicassim Fib Festival.

It's a bit early to talk about this, but it looks like a video for city will be made and it looks like it will be the best lff video ever! :)

paris & barcelona

There will be a free entry LFF concert in Paris at the venue Showcase on May 11. the day after the band will make their second visit to hypersupermegagigantic club Razzmatazz. Remind the band to not stay up late in Paris this time!!!

There has been lots of questions about what happened to the much talked about LFF baseball caps. The thought was that they wuld be sold at this website, but before there were time to make this happen technically they where sold out at the live shows!

best newcomer

Lo-Fi-Fnk was awarded best newcomer by swedish independent music prize Manifest.

After doing things really independently for a while in Sweden it really feels the award got in the right hands! Lo-Fi-Fnk wish to thank everyone who worked/works their ass off with boylife in scandinavia. Big ups.

Tour news :)

After a stolen laptop and various adventures in Europe, this website is now active again. There is some good news about the ever growing Boylife tour. The 2nd march Lo-Fi-Fnk will do their first Stockholm(or swedish) gig for a long time supporting Simian Mobile Disco. The venue is Debaser Medis. More info here

dibaba general midi craze.

2 phuture 4 u? At least for some tired u.k label people who dissed this remix by August and Leo. It was originally made early 2006 for their side project "Big and Tasty" during their worst Grime period, but fitted well with swedish electro expert Dibabas vocals. The remix is a unique marriage of Gunshots, the cheapest General Midi synth in the world and daft rock riffs.

boylife lives on in 2007

First of all, leo and august wish to thank Nottee who has played bass with LFF live earlier but who now will move on to greater things. Second, we welcome Link who will be playing (electronic) drums with the band next year.

Next year will be busy with extensive touring in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Holland, Czech Republic, UK and (rumours says) USA. Dates will be announced real soon.

Also, there will be more singles released from the album. First out in 2k7 will be Change Channel who gets it's first official european release. It will be a nice looking 12" with new remixes by, among others, Jitset and Danton Eeprom.
